Outdoor Christmas lights tend to mean extension leads across the lawn and a plug pushed through a cracked window. Most people give up and leave the garden dark.

The StarStake Solar Christmas Tree Garden Light is a small decorated tree on a metal stake, with a solar panel underneath. It charges during the day and switches itself on at dusk.

The tree is decorated with a red star on top, red bows, golden bells and coloured lights. About 75 cm tall, and it simply pushes into the ground.

Getting The Most Light

Place it where the solar panel gets direct daylight. In the darker winter months, light times depend on how much sun it has had during the day. If the light stays dim, wipe the solar panel clean – dust, snow or fallen leaves on the panel are the usual reason. The stake is pointed, so press it into soft ground rather than hammering it into hard soil, and keep it away from bright security lights, which can stop it switching on.

Before first use, leave it in daylight for a day to charge. After the season, store it dry and indoors.

Festive garden, no cables 🎄
