Coastal houses do red-and-gold Christmas badly. The tinsel fights the driftwood, the baubles fight the shells, and by mid-December the whole room is arguing with itself.

The SeaGlow Sea Glass Tree Kit belongs to that house. You build a Christmas tree out of translucent sea glass, shells and pearl accents, layer by layer on a wooden base, with warm LED lights running up through the middle.

Finished it stands as a lit tabletop tree in blues, greens and frosted whites. Eight designs in the range — trees, sea creatures and Christmas characters.

Why You'll Love It

🌊 Coastal Christmas That Works
Blues, greens and frosted white instead of red and gold. In a house full of driftwood and linen it fits, which almost no Christmas decoration does.

💡 Light Through Glass
The LEDs sit behind the sea glass, so the colours glow from inside. Lit in a dark room it is the reason people buy a second one.

🧘 A Proper Evening's Craft
Layering the glass is slow and absorbing, and there is no skill threshold — it is arranging, not making.

🎄 It Finishes Standing Up
The wooden base is part of the kit, so it goes straight onto a mantelpiece. There is no mounting or framing to sort out afterwards.

🐠 Eight Designs
Trees in several styles plus sea creatures and Christmas characters, so it is not only a December project.

👐 No Screen, No Instructions To Decipher
Pieces, a base and a pattern. It is the kind of thing people do with the radio on.

🎁 A Gift For Someone Who Makes Things
For anyone who already does jigsaws, kits or crafts, this is a step up from the usual and it ends in something worth keeping.

🏠 It Stays Out After Christmas
Coastal rather than specifically festive, so the sea creature designs live on a shelf all year.

✨ Real Depth
Layered glass catches light at different angles. Photographs never do it justice, which is a good sign.

👨‍👩‍👧 Shared Easily
One person sorts the glass by colour while the other places it. It works better as a two-person job than most kits.

Making It

Sort the glass by colour and size before you start — five minutes of sorting saves half an hour of hunting.

Build from the bottom row upwards and let each layer set before you load the next. Sea glass has natural variation in colour and shape, so no two finished trees look quite the same.
