Sitting up in bed to read usually means stacking three pillows behind you, and every one of them slides out of place within ten minutes. By the time you are comfortable you have spent longer arranging them than reading.

The RestWell is two pieces of memory foam rather than one. A wedge base and a contoured backrest sit on top of each other, and moving the backrest forward or back on the wedge changes the angle — upright for reading, shallow for lying back, flat on the bed for propping up on your elbows.

The backrest itself is shaped into four zones: a raised roll for the neck, a hollow for the shoulder blades, wings that contain you at the sides, and a lower bulge that fills the gap at the small of your back.

Why You'll Love It

📐 Set Your Own Angle
Slide the backrest along the wedge and the recline changes. Sitting upright with a laptop and lying back to watch something are two different angles, and most backrests only offer one.

🦴 Four Shaped Zones
A neck roll, a hollow for the shoulders, side wings and a lumbar bulge. A stack of flat pillows gives you none of these and leaves the lower back unsupported, which is where the ache starts.

🪵 It Stays Put
A non-slip base means the whole thing does not travel down the bed as you shift. The constant reaching behind to pull a pillow back up is the thing this replaces.

🧩 Two Pieces, More Uses
Use the backrest alone on a sofa as a lumbar cushion, or lay it flat on the bed to prop yourself up on your front. The wedge works on its own under the knees.

🪶 Memory Foam, Not Fibre
It takes your shape and keeps it rather than flattening out after twenty minutes. A fibre backrest is comfortable for the first week and then is not.

📚 For Reading, Screens and Recovering
Reading in bed, working on a laptop, gaming, feeding a baby at night, or sitting up comfortably while getting over an illness.

📐 Properly Large
At 60 cm wide it supports your whole back rather than just the middle, and your arms have somewhere to rest on the wings.

🎨 Lots of Colour Options
A wide choice of two-tone combinations, so it can be made to look deliberate in a bedroom rather than like borrowed hospital equipment.

🛋️ Works on a Sofa Too
Deep sofas that leave you leaning back at an awkward angle are improved considerably by something that fills the gap behind you.

⚠️ Comfort, Not Treatment
It is a support and comfort cushion. If you have been told to sleep at an incline for a medical reason, follow that advice rather than guessing at an angle.

Comfortable Without the Pillow Stack

Give the foam a day out of its packaging before judging it — compressed memory foam needs time to reach full height.

Try a few positions in the first week. The right angle for reading is usually steeper than people expect, and the right one for watching something is flatter.
